Introducing the Edit Your Writing with Grammarly Giveaway!
November has come to a close, and hundreds of thousands of aspiring novelists who’ve just finished NaNoWriMo face a new challenge—to edit and finish what they started. But you are not alone!
Autumn Writing teamed up with Grammarly to give away a year of Grammarly Premium to help one lucky writer proofread their novel-to-be.
Are you excited? I know I am! Want to know why?
Grammarly is the world’s most accurate grammar checker
Grammarly will help you understand the most frequent writing mistakes.
We all make them, especially these top six writing mistakes. When writing the first draft mistakes are fine. When it is time for editing, it is time to correct all the problems. But what if you don’t know if something is a problem? Like where a comma should go. Or homonyms. I HATE homonyms!!
I don’t know about you, but my last grammar class was a LONG time ago. And I wasn’t planning on being a writer at the time. Actually, I think I spent most of the class drawing pretty pictures in the margins of my notes. They were probably of horses.
These days no matter how many grammar books I try to read, it doesn’t sink in. I learn by doing. Grammarly teaches by showing, using your writing as an example of what is correct and what you need to improve. I can understand that!
And boy, they love grammar and teaching good grammar! Grammarly provided the top five grammar and punctuation issues that often confuse writers. Check out these articles if you’d like to learn more and discover their passion for all things grammar.
So whether you’ve just finished NaNoWriMo or, like me, ready to tackle edits on your next book, this contest will help you take on your next big editing project. Impress your editor with such a clean manuscript that you challenge them to find things to improve! 😉
