We all make them, especially these top six writing mistakes. When writing the first draft mistakes are fine. When it is time for editing, it is time to correct all the problems. But what if you don’t know if something is a problem? Like where a comma should go. Or homonyms. I HATE homonyms!!
I don’t know about you, but my last grammar class was a LONG time ago. And I wasn’t planning on being a writer at the time. Actually, I think I spent most of the class drawing pretty pictures in the margins of my notes. They were probably of horses.
These days no matter how many grammar books I try to read, it doesn’t sink in. I learn by doing. Grammarly teaches by showing, using your writing as an example of what is correct and what you need to improve. I can understand that!
