Goodreads 2015 Author Cyber Convention!
Ok, I know I usually do a Wednesday writing update. But if truth be told, it would be more of an editing and reading update. I’m mid-way into edits on the Battle for Europe, book 2 of Friends of my Enemy, in the hopes of getting it sent to a beta reader by the end of April. And even though Spark of Defiance, book 1 of my new epic fantasy series Games of Fire, is supposed to be my main writing project right now… well, I decided to read what I’d written before I moved ahead. Between keeping it at such a slow pace of less than a chapter a week and then taking a month break from it to finish After the War, I simply needed to see where I was so that I could make sense of where I’m going!
The good news is that I’ll finish the reading part today and will be picking up on the writing part. Which I’m really looking forward to. Though I’ll freely admit the beginning needs work (see this coming Friday’s post!), the story is going great by chapter 7. This is going to be a fantastic trilogy!
But this post is supposed to be about the Author Cyber Convention on Goodreads!
Are you here for the scavenger hunt? Great! Click on the square 2015 Author Cyber Convention image above to get the answer to the clue!
Hopefully you’ve heard of it. If not, well that is part of why I’m writing this! Coming this weekend from midnight New Zealand on Friday to midnight Alaska on Sunday night, a group of authors will be on Goodreads giving away LOTS of amazing books, answering questions about their writing, and generally have a grand ole time. I mentioned the giving away lots of fantastic books, right?!?
I’m there, of course, and hope you will be too! All you have to do is follow this link to the group and then show up over the weekend. I already have my ‘booth’ set up so if you want to learn some fun things about my writing, both my epic fantasy trilogy the Rise of the Fifth Order and my new dystopian series Friends of my Enemy – plus find out ways to win free copies! – stop by.
See you there this weekend – don’t forget to say hi!
